Review: PET imaging with macro- and middle-sized molecular probes

چکیده
Recent progress in radiolabeling of macro- and middle-sized molecular probes has been extending possibilities to use PET imaging for dynamic application drug development therapeutic evaluation. Theranostics concept also accelerated the sharpening contrast proper target recognition even cellular types/subtypes selection patients who should be treated by same molecules recognition. Here, brief summary present status immuno-PET, then further advanced technologies related peptidic probes, nucleic acids are described.

Imaging Tumor Metastases with Molecular Probes.
Tumor metastasis is an important prognostic factor regarding long-term survival rate of cancer patients. At present, no imaging modality or technique is ideal for diagnosis of metastases. Molecular imaging has provided a fantastic tool for tumor metastases imaging. Based on the current medical imaging tools such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), optical, single-photon emission computed tomog...
متن کاملHybrid PET-optical imaging using targeted probes.
Fusion imaging of radionuclide-based molecular (PET) and structural data [x-ray computed tomography (CT)] has been firmly established. Here we show that optical measurements [fluorescence-mediated tomography (FMT)] show exquisite congruence to radionuclide measurements and that information can be seamlessly integrated and visualized. Using biocompatible nanoparticles as a generic platform (cont...
متن کاملMolecular Optical Imaging with Radioactive Probes
BACKGROUND Optical imaging (OI) techniques such as bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging have been widely used to track diseases in a non-invasive manner within living subjects. These techniques generally require bioluminescent and fluorescent probes. Here we demonstrate the feasibility of using radioactive probes for in vivo molecular OI. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS By taking the advan...
متن کاملMolecular imaging of prostate cancer with PET.
Molecular imaging is paving the way for precision and personalized medicine. In view of the significant biologic and clinical heterogeneity of prostate cancer, molecular imaging is expected to play an important role in the evaluation of this prevalent disease. The natural history of prostate cancer spans from an indolent localized process to biochemical relapse after radical treatment with cura...
